Babies: Screaming or Finding their Voice?
Lately Kaitlin has been making alot of new noises. Very Cute I must say, to watch and listen to her find her voice. My only problem is the last two days she has started almost screaming, more squealing than screaming but still...Here is my problem-I hate hearing kids scream! Yesterday we were in Wal-mart and there was a little boy that all he did was scream! I wanted to walk over to his mother and ask her to spank him and tell him to stop. I am not sure how far to let Kaitlin's squealing/screaming go? I want her to find her voice but I also don't want her to use screaming as a form of communication. I want her to know that there are better ways to communicate and figure out problems rather than just go straight to getting upset. Also I want her to know that screaming just to make noise is not acceptable. These are my thoughts if anyone has any thoughts on this please feel free to leave a comment :)

My Little Girl
I LOVE my little girl!! She has been growing so much and learning so many new things! She is starting to actually jump in her jumperoo. David and I were talking about how we bought her some toys that we were hoping she would enjoy but she was too young at the time and she is just now old enough to enjoy them :) I love that she is starting to grab at our faces. She will feel out our faces like grabbing our noses, my lips, our ears, eyebrows :) Just to watch her explore, learn, and memorize our features. ::sigh: We have so many nicknames for her but she still recognizes her own name :) She is starting to reach for us too! This last week all three of us came down with a cold and my poor baby hardly slept for three days (mommy too). Today she seems to be back to normal. I can't wait to see how she continues to grow. I pray everyday that she will grow to live up to her name-Kaitlin Ann-pure; full of grace, mercy, and peace. She is our pride and joy and I am so grateful every day that God gave her to us. Once again. I LOVE my little girl =)

Little Issues-Big Frustrations
Tonight we had Movie night with our teens. Great movie, planned out, pizza, lemonade, good time-all we need are teens. Out of 6 teens only 3 show up! You know why? because parents aren't reinforcing us as we encourage kids to be in church and teach them that God tells us to be in church! It is so frustrating to see kids come serveral weeks in a row only to have the slightest things pull them away-like the carnival.. I am grateful for one teen in particular-a bus kid! I love bus kids!! He has come every Sunday since Jan. except once when he was sick and he got mad at his mom for not letting him come then!! It is teens like that, that make it all worth it.
My only other complaint right now is how petty people can be. We have a family that just left our church (taking one of our teens with them) because the old pastor didn't teach them the fundamentals of the faith. So because we have an older, more knowledgable Pastor, they are having a hard time understanding what he is preaching, saying that it is going over their heads. So they give up because they weren't taught the importance of having a personal relationship with God and being in an independent, fundamental, bible believing church! We might also be losing two other families for some of the same reasons and because of not being grounded in the Word. They are now getting their toes stepped on and don't like it! Well guess what? God loves you just the way you are but He loves you too much to leave you there! And Satan doesn't care what you are doing as long as it's not the Will of God!
AND YET.... even with all of that people are stepping up in our church like I have never seen here!! We have a true visitation program going with lots of people coming to go spread the gospel and invite others to church. We are putting more focus on missions like we should be (including raising their support)! and we have had first-time visitors every Sunday for four weeks in a row now!! :) God is working and I love it!!! If that means that our church has to lose people in order to grow and reach the community in a mor effective way then so be it. God knows what he is doing and I know I need to trust Him more no matter how frustrating things get. God is Good All of the Time!

A good reminder
It's so weird how things come about. Oh who am I kidding? God knows what we need when we need it. I was getting ready to get on here and blog about how different life has been lately and how I sometimes don't have a clue as to what to do or what people expect of me. I just read a friends blog about Purpose. What is my purpose in life? Her blog hit it on the spot...As long as we are doing everything to please God and to bring honor and glory to him everything else will fall into place. We don't have to worry about being the right example, doing or saying the right thing at the right time. God will take care of it all as long as we are doing our best to please and glorify Him with our life.
